Eyes: Corrosive to eyes.
Skin: Corrosive to the skin.
Inhalation: Severe irritating to the respiratory system.
Ingestion: Causes burns to mouth, throat and stomach.

4. First-aid measures
Ingestion: Rinse mouth at once; then drink 1 or 2 large glasses of water or milk. DO NOT induce vomiting.
NEVER give anything by mouth to an unconscious person. Seek medical attention immediately.
Eye contact: Immediately flush with plenty of cool running water. Remove contact lenses. Continue flushing
for at least 15 minutes, holding eyelid apart to ensure rinsing of the entire eye. Seek medical
attention immediately.
Skin contact: Immediately flush skin with plenty of cool running water for at least 15 minutes while removing
contaminated clothing and shoes. Wash clothing before reuse. If irritation or discomfort persists,
seek medical attention immediately.

5. Fire-fighting measures
Flash point: >100°C.
Extinguisher media: Use an extinguishing agent suitable for surrounding fires.
Fire hazards: No specific hazard.

Environmental precaution: Avoid spilled material and runoff and contact with soil, waterways, drains and
sewers.
Method for cleaning up: Contain and collect spillage with non-combustible, absorbent material e.g.
sand, earth and place in an appropriate container for disposal.

Handling: Do not ingest. Do not get in eyes, on skin or on clothing. Do not breathe vapor or mist. Keep
container closed. Wash hands with soap and water thoroughly after handling.
Storage: Keep container in a well-ventilated area. Keep away from incompatibles such as acids.

Engineering measures: Use process enclosure, local exhaust ventilation, or other engineering
controls to keep airborne levels below recommended exposure limits.

Eyes: Use chemical splash goggles. For continued or severe exposure, wear a face shield over the
goggles.
Hands: Use chemical resistant, impervious gloves.
Skin: Synthetic apron, other protective equipment as necessary to prevent skin contact.
Respiratory: If ventilation is inadequate, use respirator that will protect against organic vapor and
dust/mist.
