Project Shield Accompishment Report

REGION IV- A CALABARZON
SCHOOLS DIVISION OF BATANGAS
LIAN DISTRICT
MALARUHATAN ELEMENTARY SCHOOL
ACCOMPLISMENT REPORT
SY 2021 – 2022
1. Project Title: Project SHIELD (Safe Health Initiative Ensuring Life Defense)
Now in its second year, the school clinic and OK sa DepEd coordinator, Mrs. Ronalie
Mundo, once again implemented the project that would ensure the safety of school
personnel, parents, and visitors inside the school campus. The school principal Mrs. Glenda
L. Dimatatac approved and signed the said project and included it in the school MOOE
budget allocation. And last September 2021, the school re-launched Project SHIELD, or Safe
Health Initiative Ensuring Life Defense.
The reason why the school comes up with this project is to ensure the health and safety
of the school personnel as well as the parents and other visitors whenever they are on the
school campus especially today when we are having a Covid-19 Pandemic. Although we do
not have a face-to-face class, the teachers and parents still need to go to school once or every
two weeks for the distribution and retrieval of printed modules. During these times, we need
to assure the safety of everyone inside the school campus.
Upon launching the project and posting it on social media, there are stakeholders and
private individuals who pledged and give their support for this project voluntarily. Some
individuals donated gallons of alcohol, boxes of face, masks and face shields, a digital
thermal scanner, and a pedal alcohol dispenser. And from the MOOE, our principal provided
us with disinfection materials such as disinfectants for our classrooms, Alcohol, Sanitary
Spray, a face mask, and a face shield for the teachers. She also provides the school with a
sanitary foot mat, UV light ray stick, and chemical sprayer to sanitize the school grounds
after the distribution of printed modules. As of now, the school continues in implementing
SHIELD.
This project “SHIELD” became successful through the help and initiative of the school clinic
coordinator, OK sa DepEd Coordinator, and with the support of WInS Coordinator, teachers,
stakeholders, and most of all our school principal. Projects through LSB-SEF were also of great help
in the fight against COVID-19, handwashing facilities were installed.
When SY 2021 – 2022 ended, all 610 individuals benefited and had sufficient supplies of
these anti-Covid essentials.
