Literary criticism is an opinion based on facts concerning a piece of literature's topic,

style, location, historical or political context. It often involves a discussion of the substance of
the work as well as the introduction of additional research-based concepts. Reader-response
criticism is a literary criticism that I feel would suit the literary piece "The Two Brothers" since
the narrative is based on how the readers generate meaning. The audience's perspective of the
literary work "The Two Brothers" is likewise absorbed. "The Two Brothers," in my perspective,
is a literary piece about reaching for more while being satisfied in life, because some readers like
the younger brother while others prefer the elder sibling.
In "The Two Brothers," I am one of the readers who respects their options for finding happiness.
Others may have preferred the younger brother because he is a risk-taker eager to swim across
the river in quest of happiness, despite the fact that the elder brother fulfills his aims by living a
happy and comfortable life. If I could link it to myself, I would be the younger brother, since I
am willing to swim over the river, carry the bear cubs away, and bring them to the mountain
house, where I will find happiness with the wonderful people in my life.
The story is not only about picking what makes us happy, but it is also a wake-up call to choose
what we genuinely want in life. It is up to us to determine what type of person we want to be and
how hard we will work to achieve our objectives. Everyone wishes real happiness in life; it is
always up to us to define what makes us happy; it is always our decision to do anything we want.
It is true that happiness is always dependent on us; so, we should continue to choose to be
positive and appreciative for every minute that we live for. However, we must remember that
contentment is neither dull nor unsatisfying, but it is a wonderful thing to practice living a
thankful life.
