WHO IS ROBERT PATTISON?
Robert Douglas Thomas Pattinson is
an English actor. Known for starring
in both big-budget and independent
films, Pattinson has ranked among
the world's highest-paid actors. In
2010, Time magazine named him
one of the 100 most influential
people in the world, and he was
featured in the Forbes Celebrity 100
list.
Robert
Pattinson
suffers from
symptoms of
anxiety and
depression
Depression is considered by the World Health Organization (WHO) as
the "Evil of the Century". In the pathological sense, there is the
presence of sadness, pessimism, and low self-esteem, which appear
frequently and can combine with each other. Depression also causes an
absence of pleasure in things that used to feel good and a great
oscillation in mood and thoughts, which can culminate in suicidal
behavior and acts.
In an interview with The
Daily Telegraph, he revealed
that coping with the fame of
the Twilight Saga was
difficult, saying: "“I went
through a big time of
depression between 23 and
25. I couldn’t go where I
wanted to.
In interviews, Robert has said that he has lost the pleasure of working
and doing ordinary, everyday things. This is one of the symptoms to
watch out for; isolation and apathy are common symptoms of depression.
The main symptoms of depression are: - irritability, anxiety and distress;; -
decreased or inability to feel joy and pleasure; - disinterest, lack of
motivation and apathy; - feelings of fear, insecurity; -frequent and
disproportionate ideas of guilt, low self-esteem; -feeling, worthlessness, ruin
and failure;
Talking about living with
anxiety and depression, he
also added: "I kind of like
my anxiety in a funny sort
of way and I like my peaks
and troughs. Luckily
depression never lasts long
with me.
Robert Pattinson is usually anxious. For most people, anxiety is a
sign that you need to not continue to do whatever you’re doing at
that instant. And if you’re like most people, chances are you listen to
that anxiety and run the other way when that shock of nervousness
and fear washes over you like the blood of Carrie on prom night.
The struggle against
depression and anxiety
Anxiety disorders are the most
common mental health
disorders, affecting about 11.9%
of students. Many of these
disorders show their first
symptoms during adolescence
or early adulthood. Some of the
most common anxiety disorders
include: social anxiety.
Some ways to deal with anxiety: Accepting that it is there and
learning to feel it without letting it influence your choices,
noticing when anxiety is present and how your body reacts to it,
work on your breathing when you notice that it is strong, and
don't try to control the anxious feeling, deal with it..
Here’s the difference between Robert
Pattinson and most of the the world when
it comes to anxiety. Instead of letting it
control him and quitting every time it
hits, Robert just accepts it. The best way
for me to put it is during times when he
needs to socialize, like in interviews Rob
sees anxiety as a dark passenger that is
always along for the ride, buzzing in
his ear, but never a real threat to what
he’s doing.
And because of that, he just allows
it to move through him while
doing whatever he was going to
do anyway. It looks as though by
now like the anxiety doesn’t even
bother him anymore. It’s just a thing
that’s always going to be there and
he’s come to terms with that.
Smile, be positive, and keep going.
But when it comes to his work, the
anxiety Rob feels can shoot through
the roof. During these circumstances,
Rob takes an unusual approach to
his relationship with this dark
passenger. Where in the past, Rob
did what we all did, saw anxiety as an
alarm for getting out of the building
as quickly as possible.
But eventually he learned to
actually use his dark passenger as a
means for making the art better
and better. Robert Pattinson
believes that anxiety is what
challenges him to take more risks
with his acting. He uses it as a sign
that his work is reaching new
heights. Notice in this interview how
Robert stresses that the anxiety is what
makes the work “mean something.”

TREATMENTR
Individualization is the watchword
when treating patients with
depression and anxiety, regardless of
age. "The ideal is to seek a mental
health professional to direct the road
that involves psychological follow-
up and, often, medications."
Municipal mental health (Boa Vista)
- The city hall makes available
today, 16 UBSs, as a gateway to
start the treatment of the person
who presents some issue related to
mental health. The units offer
psychological welcoming, brief
psychotherapy, therapeutic group
activities, self-care workshops with
employees, and the first evaluation
and awareness regarding the
treatment.
"When a lot of thoughts about death start coming,
when you feel that the energy has gone, when you
have a lot of symptoms and it's very hard to go on,
it's okay to ask for help. Nobody is weak for asking
for help, on the contrary, it will help you to find out
both what is going on and what paths you can
have."
