Mounting place of the dimmer OPLSD

The dimmer OPLSD is to be mounted in the

lamp housing on the marked position (see ar-
row).
• Disconnect the lamp from mains!
• Loosen the upper housing part by turning the
turn-lock fastener 1 and remove (see instruc-
tions for use Mach M3).

sity control

Remark:
The wiring overview shown in the photo
may differ optically from the wiring over-
view of your lamp (lamp with gear motors
or video transmission system).

Attention:
Touch the electronic devices very care-
fully. Do not touch the electronic compo-
nents of the dimmer.

• After removing the three covers of the car-

dan bow insert the cable (pos.2 of the
scope of supply) along the middle axis
(position C) as shown in the figure.

• Insert the cable into the lamp housing, so

that 8-10cm of the cable should remain
outside the lamp.

8-10cm

• Insert the cable (position B) so that a loop

is formed on the opposite side of each
joint of the cardan bow (that means two
loops).

Mounting the dimmer OPLSD

• The photo shows the four possible fixing

points of the unit.
Attention! It is possible that less than
four fixing points are available.

• Two threaded holes (see arrows) are al-

ways available. Use these threaded holes
two screws with metric screw thread.
• It is necessary to fix the unit with min.
two screws.

• Fix the dimmer with the screw with safety

lacquer (pos. 5 of the extent of supply).

Mount the dimmer as shown in the photo.

• Use the bore hole shown in the photo

(see arrow) the second screw with metric
screw thread (pos. 6 of the extent of
supply).

• The arrow marks the power supply to the

halogen bulbs to be disconnected (blue
and black cable).

• Disconnect the two cables (supply cable

from the cardan bow of the lamp) by
pressing the operating buttons.

Attention!
Connect these cables (see next photo)
to position 1!

Attention! Connect the cables properly

to avoid damage of the electronic de-
vices!

1. connect +/- supply cable (from the

cardan bow of the lamp), to +/- of the
line clamp;
2. supply line (connection cable – pos. 8
of the scope of supply) to the halo-
gen bulbs

Key pad

• Install the cables properly according to

the photo and fix them with cable binders.

• Install the rest of the cables and fix them

with the cable binders included in the
scope of supply.

Attention: The cables must be installed

so to avoid contact with any mobile
parts of the lamp and the turn-lock fas-
tener at the upper housing part snaps
in properly. Otherwise the cables
could be damaged in time.

Remark: The mounting layout of your

lamp may differ optically from the lamp
in the photo.

• Nip off the ends of the cable binders with

an appropriate tool.
• Mount the upper housing part by turning
the turn-lock fastener (see also the direc-
tions for use Mach M3).
• Check the function of the lamp.

Please use appropriate clockmaker screw

drivers. Please make sure that both cutters
inside the plug perforate the insulation of
the cable.

1st possibility (screw driver positioned

crosswise on the cable):
Screw driver size: approx. 1,8 x 0,45mm

Let the cable sit close to the plug (see ar-

row)
Push the cable into the two cutters with the
screw driver.
Connect the cable with the plug to enable con-
tact.

2nd possibility (screw driver positioned

longitudinal to the cable):
Screw driver size: approx. 2,3 x 0,5mm

Let the cable sit close to the plug (see ar-

row)
Push the cable into the two cutters with the
screw driver.
Connect the cable with the plug to enable con-
tact.

• Fix the potentiometer with the two screws

included in the scope of supply (pos. 5).

• Pull the blue cable of the potentiometer

through the loop of the micro switch.
Make sure that there is no contact be-
tween the blue cable and the loop.
• Then solder the blue cable with the yellow
cable on the central loop.
• Connect the motor plug to the PC board,
turn on the lamp, turn the focus to the mini-
mum or the maximum with the handle, then
check the LED’s on the control panel.
• Adjust the LED display to a minimum or a
maximum by turning the potentiometer very
careful. In case there is no LED burning,
check the crimping of the two cables (white
and yellow) at the plug.
• Tighten the nut of the potentiometer.

• Check the function of each LED on the

display by turning the handle.
• In case that not all LED’s are functioning,
readjust the potentiometer..
