1.2 Interpret the Result

The value rxy value obtained is 0.82, which denotes a high relationship. The
interpretation means the higher the result of the achievement test in the subject Mathematics,
the higher the result of the achievement test in the Science subject.

1.3 Graph the data of the Problem No. 1 and Interpret the graph.

The plotted data are increasing, implying that the result of the achievement test in
Mathematics and Science have a directly proportional relationship. In conclusion, the higher the
result of the achievement test in Mathematics, the higher the result of the achievement test in
Science subject. Also, the higher the achievement test in Science, the higher the result in
Mathematics.
2. The data below are the results of a survey of capital (X) and net profit (Y) of iced fish
transported from Cadiz City to Manila by twenty (20) businessmen.

2.1 Find out the rank relationship between capital (X) and net profit (Y) by computing the
Spearman Rank Correlation Coefficient.

2.2 Interpret the result.

The value of r 0.98, which signifies a very high relationship. In summary, the higher the
capital, the higher the net profit. While, the lower the capital, the lower the net profit.

2.3 Graph the data of the Problem No. 2 and interpret the graph

The plotted data is increasing, which shows that the relationship between the net profit
and capital are directly proportional to each other. In summary, the higher the capital, so as the
net profit. While the lower the capital, so as the net profit..
