in verona italy
there were two
families
“we are the capulets”
“we are the montagues”
the montagues have a son romeo
the capulets have a daughter juliet
one night on a capulet party
the montagues come
gate crashing
and romeo sees juliet
“all my life
I never saw true beauty until tonight
did my heart just love”
the young and lovesick romeo montague
falls instantly in love with her
and juliet capulet who is the american
paris is as equally
madly and insanely in love with romeo
juliet's cousin tablet sees romeo
he's the montague!
get him!
Oh! romeo oh! Romeo why are you a montague
they know that their families will be very angry
and so they go to fryer lawrence to get married in secret
the next day
tablet sees romeo again
and out of his rage he wants to fight
and romeo doesn't want to
but his best friend mercutio does
if you won't fight!
i will!
mercutio fights timbalt and tibble kills mercutio
and romeo is so upset that he kills table two
the prince of verona is very angry
and sends romeo far away
and juliet goes to friar lawrence to ask for help
“here is a special drink
you will sleep for two days
your family will think you're dead but
you will wake up
then you and romeo can be free
together”
in desperate attempt to be reunited with
romeo
juliet follows the friar's plot and
fakes her own death
the friar sends romeo a letter to tell him the plan
but the message fails to reach romeo and
believing that julia is dead
and in his grief
he buys a poison
he returns to verona to see juliet
and kills himself by drinking the poison
“now juliet my love
i shall stay with you forever”
too late..
juliet wakes up finding romeo lifeless
beside her
and kills herself too
oh no!
you didn't leave any poison for me
but here's your knife
tragic
and in the end
friar lawrence tells the capulets and
the montagues what happened
and the grieving families agreed to end it there
to no longer fight
forever.
