Paper Feed Process (1) The sucker lies above the paper and sucks paper which have been separated by separator air A biow out. ‘The stopper holds the top of the paper. After the paper of each level has been conveyed with the main brake on, the main brake turns off and the main clutch turns on. 16 Conveyance roller 3. OUTLINE OF EACH MECHANISM AND ADJUSTMENTS 3-1. Sucker (1) Airis blown at the front part of the paper on the eee Paper feed bin from the four slits of the separator pipe to separate the top few sheets of the paper. Paper Feed Conveyance (1) The paper moved by the sucker is sandwiched between the conveyance roller and pinch roller and sets into the standby state. (2) The electromagnetic clutch of the shaft Electromagnetic clutch Level bar PR (operating side) of the conveyance roller turns ‘on and the conveyance roller starts rotating orl Pinch rollers and conveys the paper into the vertical . conveyance section. Conveyance Pressure Switching (1) As bins 1, 2, 9, and 10 can deal with thick Paper (157 to 250 g/m*), the conveyance pressure can be adjusted. ‘As shown in the figure, the channel and pinch roller fulcrum axis (non-operating side) lever is connected through spring C. iBins 1, 2, 7, and 8 in the case of Dc-8000s 2. Driving Force Transmission (1) The inverter and main motor correct the number of rotations according to changes in the load and adjusts the transmission speed in the connected towers. (2) The drive is transmitted from this motor to the conveyance roller and paper pickup driver. Cam Adjustments", secure the plate unit when it blocking the sensor at the position shown in the figure. It does not move ‘when the internal electromagnetic brake of the brake unit tums on. ‘When papers conveyed, the stopper releases the pressure on the paper by being moved up. When paper feeding ends, the stopper descends, the electromagnetic brake tums off, and the paper feed bin moves until it touches the stopper by the force of the spring. The stopper is driven, via the slide bar ST, by the cam ST of the shaft (non-operating side) connected to the main shaft by the chain. ® @ fo} @ The clearance of the electromagnetic brake inside the brake unit is 0.1540.05 mm. ‘The armature is secured to the shaft by the M4 hexagonal fixing screw. Clearance is adjusted when adjusting its position. Clearance can be checked using the clearance gauge (t=0.15 mm) provided. Adjust the clearance withthe fixed plate so that it is 0.1540.05 mm at any position. The backlash of the 107 gear in the rack attached to the paper feed bin and in the brake unit is adjusted by adjusting the brake unit position by loosening the four fixing screws (M4) of the brake unit. (2) Adjust the slide plate so that the tip of the pad of the sucker is within 3 mm from the contact line between the rollers as shown in the figure when the level bar SA is at'the top of the cam SA. (8) Adjust so that the up/down movement of the level bar SA is smooth. (4) Apply grease to the sliding section. 3-8. Elevator (1) Adjust the position of the top/bottom stop position detection sensor by moving the sensor bracket, For the stop position at the top, the connecting part of the joint bar and 60T gear should be directly above. For the stop position at the bottom, the connecting part of the joint bar and 60T gear should be directly below. (2) Apply grease to the engaged point of the sliding section and gear. @ The sensor brackets incorporated are used for adjusting the position of the top/bottom stop Position detection sensor. They are secured by two screws (M4) each. Adjust the stop position by loosening these screws and moving the ‘sensor bracket. @ The lett sensor is for detecting the upper limit position. When itis not at its designated position, the paper feed bin does not reach the stopper. @ The right sensor is used for detecting the lower limit position. When it is not at its designated Position, the height of the paper stacked will be less than the 55 mm specified. Gate Switching Using the left/right switching solenoid, rotate and move the switching claw and change the paper conveyance direction. @ Arrange claws A and B as ABABAABABABAB from the operating side. @ Attach guide C as shown in the figure. (2) Ejects improperty set sheets of paper onto the reject tray with the reject solenoid. (3) The HM section is the automatic feeding unit for manually setting a few sheets of paper {below 10). © Move and adjust the solenoid so that the space between the tip of the claw and paper feed base is 1742 mm when the solenoid is on. @® When inserting the paper stack in the paper feed base, secure so that the angle bending touches the shaded portion. Pipe a (2) Flow of Suction Side Air ‘When the dry pump is started, the square pipe A becomes a vacuum, and the 3-port electromagnetic valve operates each time paper is fed for only the bins that are feeding the paper. The hose, sucker pipe, and sucker become vacuum and suck the paper. Control Section (Main Board) a @) @ (4) ©) 6) 2 ‘The control section is located inside the cover of the control panel and controls the whole ‘machine. ‘A one-chip microprocessor is used for the CPU while a 64-Kbyte EPROM is used for the ROM. 5V and 24V is used for the power supply. + The 5V power supply is used for the control system (LED1 green) ‘The 24V power supply is converted to SV on the board. ‘+ The 24V power supply is used for the drive system (LED2 yellow) ‘The RAM is connected to the nickel-cadmium battery for backup so that the counter is Preserved even when the power supply is OFF. Light-emitting and light-recei unit ing The light-emitting unit is composed of the infrared LED while the light-receiving unit is composed of the photodiode. They are used for detecting double feed, mis-feed, jams, etc. 2-4. Index Sensor (1) The index sensor outputs the signals used as en Corot ‘Main motor the basic timings for controlling the machine with the index board and photo interrupter. (2) The index board synchronizes with the main motor, rotates, and generates a 1.67 msec pulse signal per cycle when the conveyance speed is 1500 mmisec. (3) This signal is used also for detecting motor lock. * If the pulse signal is not detected for 0.5 seconds while the motor is rotating, the motor is determined to have locked, the error message “E-1-?" is displayed on the display of the control panel, and all operations are prohibited, 2.5. Maintenance Counter The maintenance counter is located inside the cover of the control panel. It shows the number of times the unit has operated (the number of rotations of the main clutch) 25 2-6. Paper Switch (1) The paper switch is used for detecting whether ‘there is paper on the paper feed bin. (2) It performs detection only while the unit is ‘operating. When paper runs out, it sounds the buzzer three times and stops the unit. 2-7. Main Clutch Brake The main clutch brake transmits the drive of the main motor. * The resistance of the coil of the main clutch is gon ‘ ‘+ The resistance of the coil of the main brake is 520. 2-8. Initial Position Detecting Sensor ‘The initial position detecting sensor detects that the main clutch is at its initial position. it uses a photo interrupter. : 26 fy Paper switch 2-9. Paper Feed Bin Up/Down Relay ‘The paper feed bin up/down relay is attached to the Level bar EL rack and controls the rotation and stopping of the | paper feed bin up/down motor. Paper teed bin Lpiown relay 2-10. Paper Feed Bin Up/Down Motor A reversible motor is used as the paper feed bin up/ down motor for driving the paper feed bin up and down.
