This news article has added to my learning of International Marketing in several ways. It
has shown me the importance of understanding global market trends and consumer needs to
develop successful marketing strategies; this is very evident when the article states that there was
an attempt by Softbank to sell the Arm to a company known as chipmaker Nvidia, but after
facing several oppositions from the authorities that are in charge of competition, Softbank had to
let go of the plans and abandon it completely. It has also highlighted the need for global branding
and strategic partnerships to succeed in international markets. Finally, it has illustrated the
potential of strategic alliances between companies in different countries to gain access to new
technology and intellectual property, for example, between Samsung and Softbank, two
In the future, I would apply what I have learned from this news article to my international
marketing efforts such that; I would ensure that my marketing strategies are in line with global
market trends and consumer needs by reading news articles on the upcoming market trends and
therefore building a better understanding of the global trends. Additionally, I would create a
strong global brand and explore strategic partnerships with companies in other countries to gain
access to new technology and intellectual property. By applying these lessons to my international

international markets.
