REFLECTION

ASSESSMENT:
Evaluate your life on how you are responding to your call as steward of God’s creation.
“And God said, let us make man in our image, after our likeness. “And God created man
in his own image, in the image of God created he him; male and female created he them”
(Genesis 1: 26–27).
God is our Heavenly Father, and He created us in His image. Concerning this truth,
President Thomas S. Monson said: “God our Father has ears to hear our prayers. He has eyes
to see our actions. He has a mouth to speak to us. He has the heart to feel compassion and
love. He is real. He is alive. We are his children created in his image. He looks like us and we
look like him. ”1
“The Latter-day Saints regard all men as the children of God in the full and perfect sense;
they regard each person as having a divine origin, nature, and potential. ”2 Each is a “beloved
spirit son or daughter of heavenly parents. ”3
“[The Prophet] Joseph Smith also knew that it is the desire of God that His children should
receive the kind of greatness that is His.” 4 As God said, “For behold, this is my work and my
glory — to bring to pass the iniquity. -death and eternal life of man” (Moses 1:39).

REFLECTION:
1. In your own experience, how often do you take good care of our ‘’common home’’-
the earth? Do you plant trees? Or at least go against Kaingin system or mining
which destroy the beauty of God’s creation?
Man cannot live without other things, so what kind of attitude should man have
towards everything? Appreciate them, take care of them, use them well.
God allows man to rule all things and have power over all of them, but can man do a
good job? Mankind is headed for destruction; not only did mankind not keep things in the way
God created them, he actually destroyed them. The mountains were turned into the crushed
bones of mankind, the seas of the earth were turned into deserts, the plains were turned into
deserts where no one could live. But there in the desert man made industry and built nuclear
bases and destruction reigned in all directions. Rivers are no longer rivers; the sea is no longer
the sea.
When mankind violates the balance and the rules of nature, the day of their calamity and
death is not far away and inevitable. When disaster strikes, they will know how important God's
creation is and how important it all is for mankind. A person who lives in an environment with a
good climate is like being in paradise. People don’t realize this blessing, but once they lose it
all they will see how rare and important it all is.
How can man regain all this? If God does nothing, if God does not want to do anything for
mankind, that is to say, He does not want to intervene, the best way is for man to stop this
destruction and restore things. in its former state. Putting an end to all this destruction is to stop
destroying and tearing down the things God has created. This will allow the environment in
which the person lives to improve gradually. Failure to do so will only result in further
environmental degradation and it will only get worse.
