Supersedes Bulletin #9876 dated 10/30/15. Revised for clarification.
All of the bizhub non-E “4”-series workgroup models, listed above, and the C452/C552/C652 series are failing to
send via Gmail. This issue began on Wednesday, October 28, 2015 after Google implemented an SSL security
change from TLS 1.0 to TLS 1.2.
This bulletin describes temporary work-arounds that can be used until we are able to obtain official base-level firmware
that supports TLS 1.2. This involves upgrading the MFP with two specific firmware versions to allow it to have the same
functionality as a “4e” series has (GB2-K5). This is a 2-step process that also requires a Soft Switch change.
