One of the advantages is packet switching allows the sender to resend missing packets which

lowers the risk of data loss. Packet-switched networks are usually used for data and voice
applications which are acceptable to be delayed sometimes, while circuit switching requires data
in real-time scenarios (WatElectronics, 2022).  As the cloud service is growing, a virtual switch
hosted on the server allows communication between virtual machines (Wang et al, 2022). It not
only transports data packets but also intelligently ensures the integrity of data packets and
security before sending them to the destination.

The main feature of the telehealth industry is scalability. Doctors and health care providers have
the ability to talk with patients in the states as well as across countries. In addition, they can
access the patient’s record timely to suggest treatment promptly. In fact, in telehealth, physical
network infrastructure is a necessary requirement (Gupta, 2014). The clinics should enhance
their rapid internet structure to meet patient needs. Since when many people share data using the
same internet, a packet-switched network would make network congestion which leads to a
delay. Meanwhile, telemedicine heavily relies on a medical image or video sharing for
diagnosis.  Many medical images require large bandwidth for transmission, so it also requires
high bandwidth internet.  Apart from physical internet improvement, the novel technique can
also help. Content-Based Image Retrieval (CBIR) can be used in healthcare management to
extract relevant images from a large-scale database in a more efficient way (Gupta, 2014). CBIR
exploits the visual content in image data to search in an image database automatically (Ibtihaal,
2021). CBIR is a strong tool; however, it is still in development. It needs more experiments with
medical experts to evaluate the performance attributes and usability of CBIR systems in a
healthcare environment.
