Once the experiment was successfully performed and completed, the objectives of, the determination

of the coefficient of friction and the establishment of the relationship between angle of repose and
coefficient of friction were completed. It is important to have a uniform motion of an object in the
determination of the coefficient of friction, it is also important to have a uniform motion because it is
equal to kinetic friction. The experiment showed that for an object to move it would require it to exceed
a certain value of static friction in order for it to move or produce any motion. For a practical application
for this experiment, a great example would be a glass that has been pushed across the table at the start
it would be smooth but as it losses its velocity it will have a harder time in moving.
