Marriage Lagna

Mihira stresses the fact that even though the time of birth is important
in determining and predicting the future life of the woman, the marriage
time is also not less or equally important in determining her future fate.

Marriage Lagna

If the life of a woman was fully ordained depending on the time of

birth then lagna at marriage etc would have been useless and not
worthy of any attention. (But it is not so. Primary importance is to
birth time, and secondary importance is to marriage time). If first
(birth time) is not known then the second (marriage time) becomes
important to determine the life of a woman. Destiny forcefully
makes one bear the fruits dependent on the time of marriage.]

Marriage Lagna
Birth time is most important in determining the fate of the native, and
it should be given priority when correct birth time is known. But when
the birth time is not correctly known then the time of marriage gains
priority. Marriage time is very important in determining the fate of
women (and men), but it is less important compared to birth time in
general.

Technique 1

If male planets are strong in a male chart then the man is liked by
his wife.
If the planets are weak then the results are reversed.
Similarly for women strong female planets indicate that she will
be dear to her husband and weak planets indicate opposite
results.

Godhuli Time

This is yet another local rule. The evening time when cows return after grazing in the
fields, the atmosphere becomes full of the dust arising from their footsteps. This time is
auspicious and indicates prosperity. This time is also called 'Godhuli samaya'
(meaning, the time at which the dust raised by the cows is present). In the earlier times,
there were cows in every house. During the daytime they would be taken to fields
where they could feed on grass and then they would be taken back home in the
evening. Their return indicated prosperity, auspiciousness and a good time. But
how much of these ancient considerations apply to the present era is a question.
Following the ancient practice, the evening time is considered auspicious now too.
