Understanding your IDP Form
There are 6 categories in IDP Form

Strength

Area of Development

Remarks

based on 4 activities

i) IDP Setting – employee starts to fill up the IDP Form


ii) Supervisor Acknowledgement – pending for supervisor to acknowledge employee’s IDP Form
iii) IDP Action Plan in Progress – pending for employee to update the progress of the IDP Action Plan
iv) IDP Completion – IDP Form is completed
Career Aspiration
Identify your career goals and aspirations. Break into short term goals and long term goals.

Short term goals: Objectives that you want to accomplish within a year such as acquiring new skill or knowledge or improve on your functional gap.
Long term goals: Objectives that you want to accomplish in the future and requires a significant amount of time and planning such as move to a larger role or become part of
management team.

Area of Development
An area of development is a skill or attribute that benefits your personal and professional growth. It helps you to become more productive, competent employee. Seek
feedback from your line manager or peers to identify your blindspots and development needs.

Note: Employee is allowed to add


minimum of 2 and maximum of 5 items
for area of development.

17 Development Goals:

Be specific in defining your development goals. Keep it short but clear on what you want to achieve.

Example: Learn new programming language or improve on project management skill

18 Translate your development goal into executable tasks and briefly explain the action plan.

How: 70% Learning from Experience

Description: 70%: Involve in Sales Agile Squad/Value Program

19 Measurement:
Define the measure of your action plan. This is needed to assess your achievement at the later stage.

Example:
70%: Project achievement/completion of Sales Agile Squad/Value Program, or Feedback from
Squad/VP Leader

20 Start Date:
Please insert the start date of your action plan.

Due Date:
Please insert the due date of your action plan.

21 Status:
Please insert the completion status of your action plan:
- Pending – Refers to action not started or in progress
- Complete – Refers to action that has been completed
- Incomplete – Refers to action that is incomplete (after due date)

22 Fill this info & click “Add”. Notification will appear “Area of Development

How: 20% Learning from Others
Description: 20% : Mentoring session with VP Sales on developing stakeholder management
skill

24 Select Mentor/Coach:
Please select any Mentor/Coach that exists in the list.

25 Measurement:
Define the measure of your action plan. This is needed to assess your achievement at the
later stage.

Example:
20% : Conduct 2 mentoring sessions with VP Sales

26 Translate your development goal into executable tasks and briefly explain the action
plan.
How: 10% Learning from Structured Training/Education
Description: 10% : Subscribe to online course on Phyton language or Involve in Agile
Squad/Value Program
Read related articles on Critical Thinking &
Problem Solving skills from Gartner portal. 27 Training Name:
Please write any related training/conference/workshop/webinar/book/articles to
your goals.

28 Measurement:
Read 3 relevant articles and conduct a
sharing/brainstorming session with line Define the measure of your action plan. This is needed to assess your achievement

35 Click “Save Draft” to keep the info and revisit the


form once you are ready submit to Line Manager.

Click ‘Submit’ once you successful update the form.


Submitting your Form

36 Click ‘Yes’ if you are ready to submit,


OR

Click ‘No’ if you are not ready to


submit your IDP Form.

Note:
If you are not ready to submit your IDP
Form, you may click icon ‘Save Draft’
and revisit the form once you are
ready to submit.
Successful Submission of your IDP Form

37 Once you have submitted your IDP Form,


the status update will be shown on the IDP
Homepage to ‘Pending Supervisor
Acknowledgement’.

Your IDP Form is now being routed to your


Line Manager for his/her acknowledgement.

Once acknowledged, you can always revisit


your IDP Form to update your development
progress.
