VFD Programming Parameters

For ATV 630

Basic Parameters
Terminal Connections

Wiring Connection

Programming Parameters:
1) AUF Means Programming mode. The AUF submenu provides ready access to the ten basic parameters
commonly used in programming the drive. In many cases, programming the ATV212 drive is complete
when these 10 parameters have been properly set
2) The AUH submenu displays, the last 5 parameters that have been changed from their factory settings
3) GrU means All Parameter Changed.
4) F--- means extended menu. Access to all parameters.
5) IO means I/O Menu gives access to parameters related to Input and Output.
6) COM means Communication Menu
7) ScR and PN related to syunchronous motor setting (not required).

Parameters under AUF:

1) AU1 – Auto Ramp adaptation. Factory Setting -1: Means enabled acceleration and deceleration. This is for
automatic ramping while running and stopping.
2) ACC – Acceleration Time 1. To adjust the time taken during starting from 0 to set frequency.
3) DEC – Deceleration Time 1. To adjust the time taken during stopping from set frequency to 0.
4) LL – Low Limit Frequency – Minimum frequency the drive will run when P24 and F is shorted.
5) UL – Upper Limit Frequency – Maximum frequency the drive will run.
6) tHr – Motor Thermal Protection – Motor Rated Current Overload Setting
7) FN – Analog Output Scaling – To control the analog output value.
8) Pt – Motor Control mode select – For selecting the type of Torque.
9) uL - Motor Rated Frequency
10) uLu – Motor Rated Voltage

How to Factory Reset a drive:

1) Set parameter tyP to 3 for complete reset.
2) Then set same parameter tyP to 1 for setting the drive in 50Hz mode.

How to Test a Drive without motor in Factory

1) Change parameter F605 from 3 (default value) to 0. F605 is Output Phase loss parameter. This will trip the
drive if the drive is starting or running without motor.
2) If F605 is set to 0 this parameter is disabled. So VFD will not monitor the load side and we can run VFD
without motor.
3) After testing the drive again reset the parameter F605 from 0 to 3.

11) Input F – VFD Run Activation. Short P24 and F VFD will enter in run mode.
12) Input R – Programmable Input. In above diagram Input R can connected to Auto/Manual Mode.
13) If R is connected to Auto Mode
a. Set Fnod to 3. This is to set HMI as input in Normal mode. Pg 77
b. F207 set to 1. This is to set VIA as input if input R is activated.
c. F200 set to 0. This is to set F207 as secondary source.
d. F112 set to 38. This parameter is assigned to terminal R. Set F112 to 38 for activating F07. Pg 90.
e. F295 set to 0 for bump less disable.
14) F130 is parameter for RY relay or Run Relay
15) F132 is parameter for FL relay or Fault Relay
