4.

OPERATION UNDER FIRE MODE


The fire roller shutter should be at normally open when there is no fire emergency always ready to activate into fire mode. However a
purpose-designed shutter can also be set at normally close during normal operation.

A. STANDARD DIRECT FULLY CLOSE TYPE


This system has an auto-close relay switch that receives 24 volt DC fire alarm signal. Once fire signal is received, the fire
shutter shall descend and auto-close by means of motorised operation.

5. MAINTENANCE AND SERVICING


Regular maintenance is recommended and the following maintenance activity shall be carried out:

To maintain cleanliness of shutter slats, wipe surface of shutter slats with a soft material (eg. Clean cotton cloth) every month
(or depending on condition or surroundings, more/less frequent cleaning is required). It is strongly advised to not use any strong
detergent / solvent and hard material to be in contact of the shutter slats.

It is strongly advised that user(s) shall not attempt to dismantle or perform troubleshooting on the counter-balance mechanism
(for Fold-Up Doors and Roller Shutters with 30s closing requirements) without an experienced technician or the manufacturer.
Improper installation and dismantling may risk public safety causing unwanted injuries.

Note: Routine checks for an interval of 6 months are advised to be performed for each motorised roller
shutter.

1. Limit switches
2. Wiring connections
3. Check if any part damage or worn out need to be replaced.
4. Apply light grease on motor sprocket gear chain every 6 months for smooth operation.
