Introduction
In the current global economy, consumers are accustomed to
finding goods from all over the world at their neighborhood
grocery stores and retail outlets. They have more options thanks
to these imports from other countries. Imports also assist
consumers in managing their tight household budgets because
they are typically produced more inexpensively than any
domestically produced counterpart. Exporting has a lot of
advantages. It can boost your earnings, lessen your reliance on
the market, and maintain seasonal sales. Importing and
Exporting products can influence Gross Domestic Product,
exchange rate, level of inflation and interest rates of a country.
A nation must maintain a healthy balance between imports and
exports.

regional free trade agreements (FTAs) is fundamentally altering the
global supply chain and manufacturing landscape. 'In 2019, ASEAN's
total service exports and imports were 31.6% and 20.7%, respectively,
before falling to 10.3% and 8.0% in 2020. Almost all import and export
duties on goods traded between ASEAN members have been eliminated.
By 2020, the global trade deficit would be reduced by 13 to 32% across
all regions and industries. South-East Asia is expected to outperform the
other subregions in terms of export performance. As COVID-19
restrictions are lifted, commercial services are regaining prominence in

Recommendation 3
Most Customs authorities have a duty laid upon them to enforce the legal
requirements so as to protect the revenue against fraud and/or under-declaration
or underpayment of duty. In some cases, this requires the provision of legal proof
of an offense in the Court; and the absence of a signed document has been
regarded as an obstacle to a successful prosecution. Legal opinion in some
countries is now turning towards the view that, whilst the signature of a document
remains a desirable element of evidence, its absence in other than absolute
offence cases can be compensated by other evidence.
