TERMINAL 3 ANNEX DESIGN CONCEPT Physical Separation For Arrival & Departure For security purposes, the flow

of pax. shall provide a physical pax. separation between arriving and departing pax. For departing passenger, there will be a continuous separation which begins after the security point until passengers embark the aircraft. For arriving a continuous separation begin once passenger disembark the aircraft until the point of exit at the arrival hall area on the arrival floor. Level of Operations Considering the high passenger volumes, the required separation between arrival and departure are best served via a vertical segregation on a two-tier level with uni-directional circulation. The departing level is situated at Level 2 with downwards circulation to the aircraft, and arriving pax at Level 1. Horizontal segregation in a single floor has been considered, however this may not be possible to the limited plot-area and is less costs feasible. Functional Planning Criteria The followings planning principals have been considered:a) b) c) d) e) f) Dedicated & independent Forecourt Road due to lack of space to ramp down and the need to tie-up with existing T3 forecourt road level; Vertical separation of arriving and departing domestic passenger; Physical separation of departing Annex 3 domestic passenger from other arriving and departing pax. within the existing transfer corridor; Common departure lounge and eight (8) to ten (10) gate/bus lounges to handle the pre-boarding process Independent link-bridge access from common departure lounge to the existing contact-pier (Gate 1 to 5);

Maintains existing bus system for all passengers except Gate 1 to 5 for departure and arrival; Minimum level-change, and when necessary, to be made in the downward direction;
h) i) Part of Landside Arrival Concourse linked to Departure Concourse; Admin. Office & Support Facilities to be located in non-prime floor space at Level 2.

Domestic passengers will depart from the semigate connecting to the contact pier for Gate 1 to 5* via a link-bridge once being called for boarding. Via Bussing Domestic departing passengers being bussed will approach the aircraft directly. ARRIVALS Via Contact Pier Passengers arriving in front of Gate 1 to 5* would walk from the aircraft to the arrival hall entrance via level-change to enter to the baggage reclaim hall at Level 1 to claim their luggage.
