Certain individuals are disqualified from applying for probation under Philippine law, including those sentenced to imprisonment of more than six years, convicted of crimes against national security, previously convicted of offenses punished by over six months and one day imprisonment or fines over 1,000 pesos, those already on probation under this decree, or serving a sentence when the provisions of this decree took effect.
