INTRODUCTION
The Adidas sales dataset is a collection of data that contains information about the sales of
Adidas products. This data set may include details such as number of units sold, total sales
revenue, location of sale, type of product sold and any other relevant information.
This can be useful for a variety of purposes, such as analyzing sales trends, identifying successful
products or marketing campaigns, and developing strategies for future sales. It can also be used to
compare Adidas sales with those of competitors or to analyze the effectiveness of different
marketing or sales channels.

1. Which product category is performing better in terms of sales? Which region and sales
Is the method contributing more to sales?
• Here we see that the men's streetwear and women's apparel categories are contributing more
to sales, leading to a 19% and 20% increase in total sales in the US region in 2020 and 2021,
respectively.
• Southeast and West regions account for more than 50% of total sales.
• Sales Method: In-Sales contributes the most sales in the US, followed by Sales Method:
Outlet and Sales Method: Online.
• The Southeast region of the US generates the most sales as no. the units sold are maximum
and the price per unit is better which further generates good profit.

2. What are the critical performers for generating the operating profit?
• The profit generated by men's street shoes is the maximum, followed by women's clothing. These two
categories produce the most revenue and profit for the company, so we can focus on these categories to
build a strong base for the company.
• The Southeast region of the US generates the most sales as no. units sold are maximum and price per
unit is better, further generating maximum profit. So we can build our market dominance first and then
focus further on the Midwest and Northeast regions as they produce low profits and sales.
• Sales Method: In-store contributes maximum profit i.e. 38.42% while Sales Method: Online
contributes the least i.e. 29.07%. We need to have a good relationship with the in-store sales method
because it generates the most profit and also focus on the online method because they are growing fast
and have good future market value.
• The graph shows that most of the sales and profit in these years were generated by Walmart and the
least by Amazon. So we can build a good relationship with Walmart and provide more practical sales
terms to have good sales and profit for our product.

3. What is the impact of sales methods across states? Which sales method performed
better?
• Method of sale: Online is available in all US states. So we can predict its market impact because
it has available market everywhere. We can focus on this method for future growth.
• Mode of sale: The outlet is available in all central states and generates good profit. In-Store
provides maximum sales and profit, but is only available in major cities as it costs to set up stores,
which may not be cost-effective considering the profit generated by these states.
