The Legion 5 was among the best gaming laptop of last year, and its successor is finally here in Nepal. So,
let’s quickly dive into the specs, features, latest price, and availability of the Lenovo Legion 5 Gen 7
(2022) in Nepal.
As always, Lenovo is offering the Legion 5 in Intel as well as AMD versions. The Intel version models have
the “i” suffix that differentiates them from their AMD counterparts. Here, the user can choose between
the 12th Gen Core i5-12500H and Core i7-12700H. However, it is not yet available in Nepal.
Lenovo Legion 5 (2022), available in Nepal, is the AMD version with the Ryzen 7 6800H. It is a hexa-core
processor with 16 threads, 16MB L3 cache, and a maximum clock speed of up to 4.7GHz. It has been
paired with RTX 3050 Ti with 4GB of GDDR6 RAM and 95W TGP.

In addition to the new internals, Lenovo has also upgraded the cooling mechanism on the Legion 5
(2022). As per the company, the dual fan system on the laptop is 140% more powerful. Likewise, Lenovo
has made the fan blades 40% thinner and the exhaust 45% larger.
Design
Another major change in Legion 5 (2022) comes in design. The laptop is now 15% slimmer than its
predecessor, measuring around 20mm. It’s also sturdier thanks to the new aluminum-magnesium lid
replacing the old plastic one. You can choose between Storm Grey and Cloud Grey color options
depending on the availability.
The TrueStrike Keyboard is not 33% noise-resistant while still retaining the same-old 1.5mm key travel.
Users have the option to go with a simple white backlight or the new Legion Spectrum 4-zone RGB
solution.

Coming to the display, you get a 15.6-inch FHD+ panel that refreshes at 165Hz. The screen covers 100%
of the sRGB gamut and is compatible with FreeSync and G-Sync. It’s an anti-glare panel with a peak
brightness of 300 nits. There is even a high-end model with WQHD resolution, but it is not available in
Nepal at the time of writing this article.
The audio department now supports Nahimic 3D Audio, with which you can add an external headset or
speaker to the 2x 2W internal speakers for a surround sound experience. Lenovo has also added support
for Wi-Fi 6E on the new Legion 5 (2022).
Fueling the laptop is an 80Wh battery, and Lenovo ships it with a faster 230W power adapter. Lower
models even feature a smaller 60Wh battery. That aside, all the models now support USB Power
Delivery, making charging more convenient.

The price of the new Lenovo Legion 5 Gen 7 (2022) has dropped by Rs. 10,000 in Nepal. Initially
launched for Rs. 195,000, the Legion 5 (2022) is now available for Rs. 185,000 in Nepal. Legion M300
RGB gaming mouse is included in the box.
This gaming laptop is a cheaper alternative to the Legion 5 Pro which has a starting price of Rs. 225,000
