Thank you Mr. chairman, madame chair person, ASEAN secretariat, Honorable ( anarebel )
Delegates and Distinguish ladies and gentleman.
On behalf of our delegations, we would like to thank to the government of Indonesia as
hosting country and your hospitality welcoming. We would also like to express appreciation
to all Indonesian people particularly ( pertikyelerle) those who are living in Bandung. Thank
you for organizing this meeting well.
Moreover , we are delighted to have the opportunity to meet and cooperate with ASEAN
member states in combat Drug Trafficking.

In this topic, my delegation strongly believe that security plays an important role in creating a
peaceful condition in a country. Abuse of narcotics and dangerous drugs (drugs) is a
phenomenon that has long existed and is experienced by all countries in the world. Abuse of
narcotics and dangerous drugs is basically a transnational crime, considering that the chain of
drug use includes trading and production activities.
Drug trafficking offenses as one of the most serious crimes that threaten the security of the
country then singapore started punishing death for drug crimes. Younger generations of
Singaporeans tend to have a more liberal approach towards drug use. The government trying
to introduced education programmes on the dangers of drugs. Singaporeans agree that the
death penalty is effective, as we knew how drug trafficking caused damage to families and
caused suffering especially to children of drug addicts. The death penalty has been effective
in keeping Singapore one of the safest places in the world to work and live in.

To better protect Singapore from the scourge of drugs, we will strengthen the three pillars of
our harm prevention efforts: tough laws and robust enforcement; Preventive Drug Education
(PDE); and rehabilitation and aftercare. We also intend to amend the Misuse of Drugs Act to
better regulate New Psychoactive Substances, expand PDE efforts to forge a national
consensus of zero-tolerance against drugs, and enhance drug supervision

Last but not least, hopefully this meeting could running smoothly, dynamic discussion, and
also could reach the best result which could be benefits and useful in order to keep
harmonious relationship among ASEAN Member States.
