PRE - LICENSING TEST FOR INSURANCE SURVEYORS & LOSS ASSESSORS

1. The Insurance Regulatory and Development Authority has authorized the Institute to conduct
Pre-licensing test for Insurance Surveyors & Loss Assessors, as required by the regulations.

2. Detailed information regarding syllabus, enrollment, examination fees, dates etc., is posted on
the Institute’s website www.insuranceinstituteofindia.com as well as on the IRDAI’s website
www.irda.gov.in

4. This examination will be conducted through online mode with MCQ pattern i.e. four times in
a year in month of March/June/September/December and passing percentage is 60% (i.e. 60
marks out of 100 marks).

5. Persons enrolled with the IRDAI as trainee surveyors, (As per guidelines received from IRDAI
Circular Ref: IRDA/SUR/GDL/MISC/288/12/2020 Dt. 01.12.2021. are eligible to appear in the Pre-
licensing test for Insurance Surveyors and Loss Assessors) Candidates can register, enroll & book
the slot/subject and make the payment for Surveyor Examination/ Papers through online option
available on I.I.I. website. (The candidates who have already registered for Surveyors Exam need
NOT register again and can continue with their registered registration number only). Please refer

registration fees for fresh candidates (one time) is Rs.500/- and the exam fees is Rs.500/- per
subject plus applicable service tax.

the books published by III on the relevant subjects.
