Fall - 2022
R-L PARALLEL IN AC CIRCUIT

Objectives

1. To implement the characteristics of the parallel Resistance-Inductor (R-L) in AC

circuits and to acquire the knowledge of impedance in circuits.
2. To be able to reproduce the circuit and waveforms of the voltage and the current using
LTSpice.

Material Required
1. Digital Multimeter
2. Supply Kit IT-2000
3. Module IT-2002
4. Line cords
5. Computer PC (LTSpice software)

Theory
As in R-L series, Resistance and Inductance can be connected in parallel as
follows

Diagram of Voltage and Current
In the case of a parallel circuit, the current is divided among parallel components
as the voltage is divided among series components in previous experiments. So,
in order to find the total impedance, the formula to be used is as follows
