1. Waxy Layer: Waxy Layer on the leaf surface stops the leaf cells
drying out.
2. Upper epidermis : It protects the cells inside the leaf .
3. Palisade layer : It contains cells that do most of the photosynthesis .
4. Spongy layer : It has a lot of air spaces . The cells in the spongy layer
do a small amount of photosynthesis.
5. Veins : They carry water to the cells inside the leaf.
6. Stomata: They are tiny holes in the lower epidermis which let carbon
dioxide from the air get into the leaf.

Q4) How does temperature affect the water uptake of celery plants?
Ans:Celery capillary system is gently impacted by the temperature of water
that it is placed in. According to the test result, Celery xylem vessels
expand in hot water and contract in cold water. This means that hotter the
temperature of water, the quicker transportation rates will occur.
