Dear Sir / Ma’am,

Greetings!

The Independent Living Learning Centre (ILLC) is a learning facility that caters to youth with special needs. ILLC
has pioneered transition education and work training programs for teens and young adults with Autism and other
developmental condition in the Philippines. ILLC is now in its nineteenth year and has established a diner,
kitchen, resource center, arts and crafts unit, small business unit, and sheltered workshop/processing center to
offer its students real-life opportunities to learn essential work behaviors and skills. Through its work placement
program, ILLC takes pride in the bartenders, food checkers, assistant clerks, food servers, volunteers, and
self-directed entrepreneurs it has produced. ILLC also has a Senior High school Program that aims to equip
grade 11 and 12 students with the essential transition to work and life skills. The program offers a modified and
individualized technical-vocational track with an emphasis on specialized courses such as Front Office Services,
Cookery, Food and Beverage as well as Handicrafts. Our Modified SPED Senior High School Program –
Grade 12 students would be commencing with their Work Immersion on March 27, 2023.

With your support, we and the families of youth with special needs, are confident that more opportunities will be
opened to enable them to become independent, integrated, and fulfilled members of society. Specifically, we
hope your company will help us in placing adequately trained students in simple occupations that match their
interests and skills. We hope to have the privilege of introducing to you some of our capable students for an
apprenticeship.

Trained job coaches/teachers will initially accompany and intermittently supervise the students to facilitate a
smooth transition into an appropriate work establishment. If necessary, the job coach/teacher can help orient
staff members about working with people with special needs. We will be privileged to meet with you to discuss
the details of this undertaking at a time and place convenient to you.

Thank you for your attention and for contributing to the global advocacy of promoting a barrier-free society for
people with special needs. Through this collaboration, we hope to promote your company as Persons with
Disability (PWD) friendly institution and to accord your company the due recognition and incentives it deserves.
Should you require further information, your office may reach Ms. Rikka Polintan-Mamaril (09985548394).
