Update Instructions for TPM firmware

for FZ-55 / CF-LV8 / CF-SV8

[Precaution]
Before updating the TPM firmware, you should
- Sign in as the administrator account.
- Connect AC Adaptor and fully charged battery. If not fully charged, update may be
skipped or fail.
- Back data up in a safe location such as removable disk or network drive to avoid
data loss resulting from firmware update failure or other accidents.
- If you are using BitLocker, make sure you have the recovery key of BitLocker. It will
be necessary if input is prompted when system boots.
In addition, avoid updating TPM firmware right after enabling the BitLocker. If
encryption is not completed, update software cannot recognize that BitLocker is
used.
Though the time required to complete varies depends on disk capacity and disk
usage, wait about 30 minutes as a guide.
- In case other TPM software is used, contact software provider and confirm
necessary backup / restore procedures for TPM firmware.
- Disconnect networks (wired and wireless). (Except when you download the
program.)
- Disconnect all peripheral equipment.
- Terminate all programs other than the program for updating TPM firmware.
