Presenting in Groups

The earlier discussions apply to both individual and group presentations. However, when making
a group presentation, everyone should be a team player and members should not compete with
each other. Note that since you are working with a team, there should be coordination among
you. Guidelines should be strictly followed specially if it is a group task. Planning is of the
essence so that your presentation is coherent and does not become fragmented. As you prepare
your presentation, note the following tips:
1. Assign a specific task to each group member.
2. Divide the work accordingly.
3. Decide on a strategy as to how you will begin and end your group presentation.
4. Prepare your audio-visual aids to hold the attention and increase the interest of the
listeners.
5. Practice on your own.
6. Get feedback from your teammates as to how you can still improve your presentation in
particular and the presentation of the group in general.
7. As individual and group presenters, think of possible questions that may arise after the
presentation.
8. As individual and group presenters, respond to questions effectively during the question
time.

So the focus of the assigned topic that is given to me was all about Presenting in Groups.
(Read first the content) So based on what I read, if we say “group presentation” everyone should
be a team player and members that means bilang nagwowork tayo as a team or as a group dapat
lahat is may ambag and dapat na walang nakakalamang or I can say dapat pantay-pantay lahat as
a player and members., coordination nga is needed to make all the group members involved on
the specific task. Moreover, mahalaga rin daw ang pagsunod palagi sa guidelines or alituntunin
for every group task because makatutulong ito to make the task correctly done by each members
and by the whole group. Also, pinakamahalaga pa rin ang pagbi-build ng plano to make a
presentation coherent means magkakaugnay and not become fragmented, means pira-piraso or
become separated sa essence ng task. And we all know na hindi naman ganoon kadali magplano
that’s why as you prepare your group presentation, may sinusunod na tips to do it correctly that
would benefit each members.

So number 1 is Assign a specific task to each group member. So as a group , dapat na all of
the group members is may assign task kasi through this po ay makikita na agad ang collaboration
of each members and para din fair is dapat may ginagawa ang lahat and hindi lang yung leader or
other group members yung may task na gagawin. And through this din po is mas madali matapos
ang whole task
Number 2 is Divide the work accordingly. Ito po ay isa rin sa mahalaga in a group planning
since sa number sinabi na assign a task lang, dito sa number 2 is inispecific na divide it
accordingly, meaning, fit dapat yung iaasign mong task sa skills ng bawat members to be fair
naman sa isa . It’s tempting naman to give the workhorse more task than others (especially if
he’ll/she’ll get them done the fastest) or to ease up on someone who is struggling, you also need
to be fair.
So number 3 is Decide on a strategy as to how you will begin and end your group
presentation. As a group, dapat na mayroong strategy on how the beginning of the presentation
will catch up agad the attention of the audience and dapat unique and hindi tipikal na pagsisimula
lang ito para talagang, dapat sa beginning, mahalaga rin na may maiaapply na right strategy sa
ending ng presentation na parang kagaya sa beginning, dapat catchy din and unique and new to
the audience eyes.
Number 4 is Prepare your audio-visual aids to hold the attention and increase the interest of
the listeners. So ‘yon, sa pagpaplano rin sa group presentation of course mahalagang ang visual
aids and klinarify nga rito na hindi lang s’ya simple visual aids but an “audio-visual aids” na
makakakuha ng attention and interest ng listeners. For example is the used of televisions, laptop
and projectors as visual aids. visual aids can enhance a presentations - they can increase the
audience's understanding of the topic, explain points, make an impact and create enthusiasm. It
has become more important to make information visual. It makes more sense and catchy.
So in number 5, it simply said that Practice on your own. It means that whether you are a group
leader or a group member, it is important to practice on your own since and it is your benefit if
you know to yourself na well-prepared ka sa specific task na inassign sa’yo and mas maganda if
prepared ka rin sa whole topic of the presentation para anytime na may questions is masasagot
mo pa rin even hindi ito yung part mo.
Number 6 is Get feedback from your teammates as to how you can still improve your
presentation in particular and the presentation of the group in general. Yes, this is one of
the important part of a group presentation because getting feedback from your teammates make
sense since ma-iimprove nito yung mismong presentation mo particularly. For example is sa
pagbigay ng teammates mo ng feedback sa particular part mo sa presentation is magkakaroon ka
ng realization na “Ah oo nga” “Ah mas maganda nga pala kung may f ganyan” so through that
madidiscover mo rin yung ibang bagay na hindi mo alam pero alam no’ng teammates mo. And in
general, sobrang makatutulong din ang feedback kasi kapag pinagsama-sama yung feedback
from particular to particular is may malaking factor ito sa whole presentation ng group since it is
a group task, may factor ang bawat ginagawa ng each members sa whole presentation.
So number 7 is As individual and group presenters, think of possible questions that may
arise after the presentation. As an individual and group presenters, dapat na advance mag-isip
sa mga possible questions na puwedeng ibato ng listeners. So, it is essential na palaging ready sa
mga questions na connected sa presentation n’yo to proved to them na you know the topic of the
presentation.
Lastly is As individual and group presenters, respond to questions effectively during the
question time. So this is the benefit nga po noong number 7 if inapply yun as an individual and a
group. If you know na ready ka and napaghandaan mo na yung mga possible questions na
ibabato nila is surely na makakapagrespond ka to various questions effectively during question
time. And mahalaga rin po pala rito na dapat straight to the point yung answers mo sa questions.
