During my first year in high school, I had a Math teacher that

everyone feared. This woman was not slim, nor was she young. She

succeeded in leading orderly lecture and practice sessions when most

teachers had a hard time every day with us. I have always kept her in

mind when deciding how to lead a group.

Marta Mejía seemed an ordinary Mexican housewife until you heard

her speak for the first time. Her agility in addressing questions to the
