I can certainly send you our list of Rheumatologist for both Miami & New York. Our list of
Rheumatologist are medical professionals recommended by our Lupus Fundation of America
members. This means that this Rheumatologist all have 1 (or more) patients with lupus Disease and
are currently or have in the past treated one of our members. The Miami list has all the Endos we
have for that area, but I also included the information for the Jacksonville Mayo Clinic – highlighted in
yellow –to also be considered. While I have not been to this center, I personally went to the Mayo
Clinic in Rochester and it was there that they helped me stabilize and better understand my disease 4
years ago. The Mayo Clinic is a very highly respected and deeply knowledgeable establishment filled
with medical professionals with many experiense in rare areas. So we personally call and schedule 3
appointments

. At Mayo Clinic and they gave us an appointment on september 1, 2022 at 10 00 am

. With the Rheumatologyst Maria Carpintero , MD on August , 22, 2022 at 9 00 am
. With the endocrinologist Diane Krieger on August 29, 2022 at 16:00pm

I will wait your confirmation for the appointment because we know that you are making all the process at
the US embassy but with this we can advance and have something more sure.
I’ve also included the list for all of New York – which is quite massive and all over the state. I wasn’t sure
if you meant you wanted the list of the en re state or of New York, New York – but either way now you
have a reference of it all from our member recommendations. I will list all that information at the
bottom of this email.

I’m also including a link to our page on sjogren and lupus disease that you can share with the US
embassy, that also highlights some of the ways to diagnose and the importance and risk of this disease
and what could happen if you are not stable and your treatment does not work, it's very important
that they understand that your life is in constant risk because you have a primary adrenal deficiency
and whitout a propper treatment you can die.
A definitive diagnosis of lupus and sjogren disease requires that definitive test be carried out.
• Anti- dsDNA Antibody
• Anti-Nuclear Antibody (ANA) test
• Anti-Smit Antibody
• Anti-U1RNP Antibody
• Anti-Ro/SSA and Anti-La/SSB Antibodies
• Anti-Histone Antibodies
• Serum (blood) complement test
