Pass the
Christmas Parcel
If you have a larger group, break
them up into 10s so that you have
smaller circles to deal with and you
are less likely to lose count when
wrapping the parcels! Colour-code
the last wrapper in a different
paper so you know you are on the
last one for each parcel.

Corners
Have a large Christmas stocking
or bag. Inside, have 6 different
coloured baubles. Have the same
coloured card stuck to the 6
different places around the room.
Ask the children to choose a
colour and go and stand there.
Choose a bauble from the stocking.
Whichever colour is chosen that
group is out. Continue until there is
only one player left!

Time to get the tunes ready! Make

Balloon Race
Line up the children in lines of 10.
Each child at the front of the line
gets a balloon, which goes over
their head to the person behind,
who puts it between their legs to
the person behind them. Carry on
down the line through the legs
then over the head, until you
get to the end. The last person
brings it back and you start again.
The winning line is the first to
get all of their team back to their
starting places.

Act It Out!
‘Yes’ or ‘No’

One person chooses a Christmas One person chooses a Christmas

object and keeps it a secret.The
rest of the children have to ask
questions about the object to try
to guess what it is. The questions
can only be answered with ‘yes’
or ‘no’. If one player guesses
correctly, they then they can
choose an object to be guessed.
If after ten questions the object
has not been guessed, it can
be revealed and the player gets
another turn.
action, e.g. decorating a Christmas
tree or wrapping a present, and
they have to mime it in the middle
of the circle. The rest of the
children have to guess what the
action is. If after 10 guesses it is
still a mystery, the actor reveals
the mime and has another turn. If a
child guesses the action correctly,
they become the mime actor.

Human
Christmas Tree

Children split into teams of 4. One

person is the human Christmas
tree. The rest of the team have
to decorate the ‘tree’ using the
objects they have been given. The
best tree wins!
