The splendor before my eyes left me breathless, a vaulted ceiling painted with scenes from

an ancient tale; tapestries that stretched across three walls depicting tales of heroes long
dead.

However, as fate would have it, I was thoroughly distracted by the flurry of magic
explosions obliterating my vision every time a magic spell hit its target: the dragon. After
all, I was a mere human in the company of two magical beings, my companion Galena, a
witch, and a fearsome crystal dragon. My presence here was not only an honor but also a
grave danger.

"You know what to do, right?!" Galena shouted at me as she threw another fireball at the
dragon's head.

I had been tasked with assisting Galena on this quest to save the world from the evil of a
dragon. But how could I possibly help?

The dragon was too powerful for any one person to fight against, especially for someone
who didn't even carry a weapon. The only way that I knew to fight back was to use my
magic to protect Galena. We were being attacked by a crystal dragon. One of the most
dangerous creatures to ever exist.

And we're still not going to win.

"Stop! Stop!" Galena yelled out as she swung her staff in a downward arc toward the
dragon's head.

After that, the dragon flew away preparing its powerful fire breath.

Galena turned to me and spoke in a panicked voice. "What are you doing?! You need to
follow through with your plan!"

"Plan?" My confusion must have shown on my face because Galena continued.

"Yes! Your plan! The one where you try to find a way past the dragon."

"Oh, right. Right. Plan. Uh, okay. Um, well, I figured if I could distract him, maybe then I
could get close enough to attack," I stammered.

"Well, why are you just standing there?" She asked sharply.

"Uh, okay, I'll move closer and attack while he's distracted!"

I started running toward the dragon who was preparing his fiery breath.
