ADVANCED MANUFACTURING

AND ASSEMBLY (AMA)

Building on Design for Manufacturing & Assembly

(DfMA), AMA will encourage the productisation of
building projects that leverage automated
fabrication in a factory-like setting supported by
smart logistics and advanced assembly solutions.
Building blocks of
the world’s tallest
modular building
Avenue South Residence
has the world’s tallest
residential towers
constructed using
Prefabricated Prefinished
Volumetric Construction
(PPVC).

This project is not only

known for its physical
heights, but reaching
new limits on many
levels.
Progressive Leadership
UOL Group and United Tec Construction
is buoyed by the partners’ progressive
leadership and strong track record in
PPVC delivery.

Construction Efficiency
Avenue South Residence continued
construction work despite the
pandemic manpower constraints
through close co-ordination between
the module shell fabrication yard,
fit-out facility, and construction site.
Robotic Process Automation
First project in Asia Pacific to deploy
robots to assist in lift installations.
Supported by a backbone of robotic
process automation technology, robots
took on repetitive, time-consuming and
labour-intensive tasks such as drilling and
setting anchor bolts for elevator guide
rails and landing doors.

Digitally-enabled
Collaboration & Co-ordination
The project adopted Integrated Digital
Delivery (IDD), which facilitated the
automated tracking and monitoring of
PPVC modules. This improved co-ordination
among project stakeholders and enabled
smoother DfMA implementation on site.
