How can the second to last stanza of “The Cremation of Sam McGee” be explained? Make a
claim and use direct quotes to support your claim. Follow the RAAPS paragraph format.

“The Cremation of Sam McGee” By Robert W. Service’ leaves one question that
everyone is wondering, what happened to Cap? In the poem “The Cremation of Sam McGee” By
Robert W. Service’. it gives the reader multiple hints of what happened to Cap? One out of the
multiple hints that the author gives the readers Is from ((Robert W service. Stanza 11 Stanza 11)
In the poem “The Cremation of Sam McGee” By Robert W. Service’ And on (Robert W service.
Stanza 11) Cap States that “Then I made a hike, for I didn't like to hear him sizzle so; This
means that Cap leaves the scene to go on a hike. Using Factual information, a cremation can take
between one and three hours. In paragraph three of the “Klondike Gold Rush” It states that
“Winter temperatures in the mountains of northern British Columbia and the Yukon were
normally -20 degrees F., and temperatures of -50 degrees F.” Staying outside for that long can
cause severe hyperthermia and cause death. A cremation can take one to three hours and being
outside for that long with –20 Degrees and –50 degrees and kill you. Taking all of this into
account, this is one example of why I think Sam Mcgee did die, and Cap also died as well. They
are in the afterlife seeing/talking to each
other.
One more example of why I think Sam Mcgee did die, and Cap also died as well. They are in the
afterlife seeing/talking to each other. “The Cremation of Sam McGee” By Robert W. Service” Has
many helpful hints that can back up my claim that Sam McGee and Cap Did both die. In the
poem “The Cremation of Sam McGee” By Robert W. Service’ Cap is talking in third person
which means he is talking to someone. This means that he is talking to Sam McGee in the
afterlife and is telling him the story of what he did to Sam. Another reason came from (Robert W
service. Stanza 11 Stanza 12) And Cap quotes “I do not know how long in the snow I wrestled
with grisly fear; But the stars came out and they danced about ere again I ventured near;” This
means that Cap was outside for quite some time and that backs up the claim from paragraph one.
In conclusion this is why I think Sam Mcgee did die, and Cap also died as well. They are in the
afterlife seeing/talking to
each other.
