SUBJECT: Certificate - Backflow Prevention Device Tester
The certification has been issued based on your having substantiated compliance with the
minimum requirements (i.e. CT DPH approved training course) specified in the Regulation of
Connecticut State Agencies (RCSA), Sec. 25-32-11(e). Public Water Systems shall have
annual tests performed on specific testable backflow prevention devices (i.e. reduced pressure
principle backflow preventer, double check valve assembly and pressure vacuum breaker) that
exist at their customers locations, as specified by RCSA Section 19-13-B38a.(f)(7). As a
“Certified Backflow Prevention Device Tester” you are able to now perform tests on testable
backflow prevention devices as determined by the Public Water System to comply with the
above cited regulation.
You are responsible for keeping this office informed of changes of address or telephone number.
All certificate renewal notices and correspondence are mailed using this contact information.
