Photoshop – Keyboard Shortcuts

The shortcuts for Macs are the same except CTRL and ALT keys have different names:

Windows Mac
CTRL CMD or Command key
ALT Opt or Options key

CTRL C Copy whatever is selected
CTRL X Cut whatever is selected
CTRL V Paste what you have copied or cut
CTRL S Save
SHIFT CTRL S Save As
CTRL A Select All
CTRL D Deselect
SHIFT CTRL I Invert
Screen Viewing Commands
CTRL 1 Display image at full size
CTRL 0 Fit image to screen
CTRL + and CTRL - Enlarge or reduce image display
Tool Commands
CTRL L Levels
CTRL U Hue, Saturation and Luminance
SHIFT f5 Content-aware Fill
Layer Commands
F7 Display Layers Panel
SHIFT CTRL ALT E Merge Visible Layers
SHIFT CTRL N Create new layer
CTRL J Duplicate layer(s)
CTRL T Transform layer(s)
CTRL G Group Layers
Brush and Colour Commands
[ Decrease brush size
] Increase brush size
D Default foreground and background colours
X Switch foreground and background colours

There are many other shortcuts but it can be somewhat overwhelming, so I’ve only included
the ones I use most regularly. If you google ‘Photoshop Cheat Sheets’ you will get more
comprehensive versions.
