Students have been able to discover how to excel in social environments

because of the hands-on experience they’ve gained from taking up a part
time job. 26

To begin with, taking up a part time job can be greatly beneficial. By

students earning their own money, they gain independence. They no longer
rely on their parents for money. It helps with learning new money skills
which make them realize making money is not as easy as it may seem, and
managing their spendings is even harder. It can also help for future
expenses like college or university. After every weekly hard-earned
paycheck, teens will get an instant feeling of accomplishment, which will
drive them to work harder. 90
However, there are some minor flaws. Time with friends or going to parties
will become pretty limited. Taking up a part time job may also have an
impact on your grades as u might not have enough time to study, that is,
only if your time management skills aren't good. 50

Altogether, in my opinion taking up a part time job is extremely beneficial.

The positives overpower the negatives. Working will open the eyes of many
teenagers and guide them into their future; experience is key! 35
