Test I: Situational Essay

Situation: Let’s say that you are a newly hired Programmer/Developer in a company where you
apply and your first assignment in your job is to propose and develop a simple app/ website that
will become the new product company that your will sell and endorse in the market. The
success of your proposed app/ website will depend on the following guide questions:

Answer the following questions based on the given situation.

1. If you were a developer, what app/website would you creates? (15 points)
- If you were a developer I would create an E-wallet that can hold your savings and
cryptocurrencies to make things easier to individuals to buy, send money or to pay bills and I
would call it a Universal Wallet. It will help a lot of people who doesn’t have a bank account
that can stores their savings, but by the use of this app they don’t need to go to bank to have a
credit card. Hence, the only thing that they need to do is to verify their account by their valid ID’s
approved by the government.

1.1 What is the Name of App/Website?

1.2 Universal Wallet.What Programming Language you will use?
- I think I will use Java in building this app because it has been the primary language of Banks
and other financial institutions that uses it to build their complex software products.
1.3 What are the Hardware Requirements?

This app requires the followings:

 Processor: Minimum 1 GHz; Recommended 2GHz or more

 Ethernet connection (LAN) OR a wireless adapter (Wi-Fi)
 Hard Drive: Minimum 32 GB; Recommended 64 GB or more
 Memory (RAM): Minimum 1 GB; Recommended 4 GB or above
 Some classes require a camera and microphone
 1.4 What are the Software Requirements?
Software used Description

Operating system We have chosen Windows operating system for its best support and user-friendliness.

Database To save the flight records, passengers record we have chosen SQL+ database.

VB.Net To implement the project, we have chosen Vb.Net language for its more interactive support.

2. What problem is your proposed App/Website attempting to solve? (10 points)

- It makes an effort to address a widespread issue, which is a shortage of suitable money
storage options. It can also be of assistance to a large number of individuals who keep their
savings in a wallet, that draws in individuals who steal other individuals' belongings. Another
illustration of this would be if you lost your wallet and were unable to locate it anywhere; the
money that was in it would be lost because the wallet contained currency.

3. Why is the problem important? (10 points)

- Problem is essential in order to make the application more adaptable to a certain kind of
circumstance. Because of the issues, it motivates us to find a solution that has the potential to
have a significant impact on the app. It provides us with the motivation to continue making
things work, as well as the motivation to improve both our product and ourselves.

Problems are an essential component of life because they provide experiences, lessons, and
the opportunity to mature into a more knowledgeable and capable individual. Additionally, it
causes us to mature and reshapes us into a more improved version of ourselves.

4. What are your technical insight/ approach to solving this problem? (10 points)
- Some problems that I encounter in my app is that sometimes it forces the application to close,
not responding and late to respond when used. So, my solution to these problems is that I will
have an update and clear some junk files in my app that cleanses the apps files. In the near
future when my app starts to work out there will be some changes and upgrades that makes it
easier to manage and I will put a cleaner inside the app that deletes junk files that makes the
app slow.
5. What are the benefits and advantages of your proposed App/ Website? Explain your
answer (15 points)
- This app can be a big help to many individuals because it can store money that can be used in
buying through supermarkets, hardware’s and it can also be used in paying hospital bills. It is
easy to use and it is incredibly secure and offer a minimized risk of fraudulent activity compared
to credit cards. As the wallet is already loaded with money, it is no longer necessary to give out
the bank or card information when purchasing products, see hassle free.

This app also has a wallet for cryptocurrencies like Bitcoin and Ethereum so that traders can
send, receive, and spend them. By using this Universal Wallet, your private keys, which are the
passwords that let you get into your savings and cryptocurrencies, will be safe and easy to get
to. This will let you send and receive money or cryptocurrencies.
