No. SO (B/T)/E&SED/11-1/ TBB/General dated 22.11.2022, Director, Curriculum & Teacher Education
Khyber Pakhtunkhawa Abbottabad, being the competent authority under “Khyber Pakhtunkhawa
Supervisionof Curricula, Textbooks and Maintenance of Standard of Education Act 2011”, is pleased to allocate
the marks for respective subjects as under:

2. All the required necessary arrangements shall be made for the commencement of the “Compulsory Teaching
of “Mutaliae-Quran-e-Hakeem” (for Muslims) and “Ethics” (other religions students) for Grades 9*^' & 11‘^
forthwith from this Academic Year 2022-2023 onwards and Grades 10’^ & 12'*^ for the Academic Year 2023-
2024 onwards.
3. The Smart Syllabus in the subject of “Mutaliae-Quran-e-Hakeem” for Grades 9‘^ & 11'^ is notified only for
this Academic Year 2022-2023 in the best public interest.
4. The textbooks developed by the KP Textbooks Board shall be used for all government educational
institutions in the jurisdiction of Khyber Pakhtunkhawa; whereas all private institutions shall use textbooks
approved by this Directorate.
5. All BISEs shall ensure necessary arrangements for the conduct of Examinations.
