DIGITAL PAKISTAN CYBERSECURITY HACKATHON 2022

Introduction
Ignite National Technology and Ministry of Telecommunication has organized the Cyber
security Quiz and cyber security hackathon Competition 2022 between leading
universities in Karachi. The event conducted at PC Hotel Karachi on 1 Dec 2022. The
quiz competition was based on Web security (OWASP Top 10), Mobile security, Network
security, Digital Forensics, cryptography, OSINT, etc. In the competition two teams of MS
Cyber Security students from Pakistan Navy Engineering College participated. The event
was comprised of two rounds, first Cyber Security Quiz competition and second Digital
Pakistan Cyber Security Hackathon 2022.

Participation:
Two teams of PNEC cyber security department comprising of 08 students participated in
cyber security quiz challenge. Also four teams of 12 students of cyber security department
compete in cyber security hackathon challenge 2022.

Achievement:
In cyber security quiz competition, PNEC NUST teams secured 1st and 3rd positions
among 17 other teams and become Karachi qualifier of event.
During the second round of cyber security hackathon, PNEC teams successfully qualified
in initial round (online) of cyber security hackthon challenge among 300+ teams all around
Pakistan and compete in final round with other 56 teams. During the FTF round, teams
successfully solved 5 challenges out of the given and secured the top 15 position out of
56 teams.
We are proud of the efforts shown by our students and looking forward for more
achievements from our bright and talented NUSTians at PNEC Karachi. Some of the
