3.Areas of Excellence i need to champion in Christ.

I. Spiritual Transformation

Spiritual transformation does not happen in a day. It requires diligence in

the Lord.
Spiritual transformation is a reversal that we experience as we diligently
know and obey scriptures.
What is this reversal -

Hebrews 11 is a list of those who championed in the Lord, they diligently

obeyed God.
Encountered God and their lives were never the same again - transformed.
Many claim they got born again - but still the same.
James 2 Faith without works is dead.

True service and true ministry flourishes from a transformed life.

Paul and his transformed life in Christ.

Our relationship with God does not simply consist of a one-time confession
of faith in Christ Jesus. In the same way that a marriage is much more than
simply the wedding ceremony, our life in Christ does not end on our day of
salvation.

The moment we surrender our lives to God, we are a new creation (2 Cor.
5:17).
We are immediately united as one in love, through faith, with God Almighty.
However, this spiritual relationship must be nurtured and developed in or-
der to grow. (Transformed-metamorphosed)

Jesus Christ taught us only one thing for a transformed life/rapture ready
life to happen - Discipleship.
Before Jesus ascended to heaven the great work He left us with is ONLY
discipleship.
Matthew 28:19-20
19 Go, therefore, and make disciples of all the nations, baptizing them in
the name of the Father and the Son and the Holy Spirit, 20 teaching them
to [h]follow all that I commanded you; and behold, I am with you [i]always,
to the end of the age.”

After you are born again - you can right away can tell others about your en-
counter with Jesus Christ. You are unstoppable. Your encounter is your
greatest encounter of all encounters. You were dead in sin - and became
alive in Christ. This is your best time to learn about Jesus more - learning to
follow everything He has commanded daily - this is discipleship.
Can you disciple yourself? Jesus could just have dropped scriptures in
doorsteps all over the planet and commanded us - disciples yourselves. In-
stead, those who followed and experienced Jesus were given instruction to
disciple all nations.

What happens in discipleship?

a. We cultivate a God centered orientation/disposition vs world centered

orientation/disposition. Biblical worldview and kingdom values vs Tem-
poral values and worldly values

b. Authentic - Rooted in scripture, mastered by the word of God

c. Broken - Surrendered to Christ Daily.

Inward Restedness - Nothing to prove, nothing to hide, nothing to
lose.
Simplicity of Life and open hand - Stewardship

d. Sold out for His cause.

Living with a sence of calling - Marriage, Marketplace, Mission
Walking in the spirit of faith - Divine appointments and active
obedience.

2. Homelife

Apperances can be deceiving.

Behind the scene of a belivers life is a family.
One can deceptively lead a double life - an angel in the church but a monster at
home.
A person cannot grow holistically because of such inconsistencies.
Once this happens, hypocricy sets in.
And the double life takes over. Edmund Chan

Husband - a husband functions well when his wife honors him well.

Mother/wife
Wife - a wife loved well functions well

Children
Psalm 127:4 Like arrows in the hand of a warrior,
So are the children of one’s youth.
Happy is the man who has his quiver full of them;
They shall not be ashamed,
But shall speak with their enemies in the gate.

· They must be carefully shaped and formed.

· They must be guided with skill and strength.

· They must be given care or they will not fly straight.

· They must be aimed and given direction; they will not find direction on their
own.

· They are, in some respects, only launched once.

· They are an extension of the warrior’s strength and accomplishment.

· They have potential for much good

3. Diligence in Personal Growth and Development

2 Timothy 2:15
Be diligent to present yourself approved to God, a worker who does not need to
be ashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth.

2 Peter 1:10
Therefore, brethren, be even more diligent to make your call and election sure,
for if you do these things you will never stumble;

The best growth zones are always out of our comfort zones. Edmund Chan.
