Qualitative Analysis

Force field

The following force field analysis has been constructed from interviews conducted with
employees to assess the benefits this would bring to the staff. It is important for the
company to examine whether a change of office would improve the motivation of the
employees, taking into account the benefits and especially the consequences that this would
bring to the company.

The force field demostrates the drivng forces on one side proving on the driving forces the
fact that a site which exposed the lack of space for employees generated a major discontent
which leads directy to a bad work environment decreasing their motivation as it was shown
in the surveys. Besides, the storage of physical files would be more efficient or even the
adquisition of a modern technological upgrade which involve the digitalization of the files
as well as their information with this there would be a respond to the demand present in the
market in a more efficient way. Furthermore, as a matter of fact the company is in a
expansionism process in which the boarden of new employees could be a major increasing
trend in the short term future being the acquisition of new workspace a major trend demand
through the company, on account, of the demand present by the company and creates an
environment in which the demand indifference curves in which either movement (files, new
employees, employee’s motivation) would promote the same satisfaction or usefulness. As
well, by obtaining a better workspace, employee’s motivation would increase radically

worry or stress about where to store these files.

On the other hand, the change of office would be indeed costly for the company being this a
non-operational cost entering into a budget constraint due to the change of office will
regard to be a costly change in which the refurbishment of the existing office with this the
company should achieve a internal benefit-cost sufficient flow in which the aggregated
economic value helps indirectly to created a value in the short run into the company by
appealing into the office’s workforce conditions into the management of the company by
itself. Besides, the fact of an office for 6 years creates a easy access for employees to get
into the office with any hastle which would generated at the shrt run an uneffcient
workforce, even further, the movement of furniture into the new office will created as
another hassle due to the lease of third parties to move the existing regirsters and furniture.
As a consequence, this will led unconciuouly to an eventual standstill in the daily work of
registers which in the short term could generated a calendar crossover in which employees
must take right on time after the delimitated standstill.
Steeple Analysis

To assess the external environment, the following STEEPLE analysis based on secondary
research has been carried out.

Taking into consideration, the external factors proposed by the STEEPLE analysis there is a
huge number of factors throughout. For instance, on the social side there is society
mentality change in regards to personal self-care which affects if it is considered the
absence of social security in Ecuador being this another factor to develop, due to the factors
exposed, there is a lack of interest from people to work in other words the lack of security
is generating an uninterest audience. Even further, the technological environment it is
nowadays a huge issue of suffering a cyber attack specially being a private company which
are more reserve with their production values. Indeed, the poor quality of enterprises
providing resources creates a potential risk for further approach from a private company,
these technological issues are interrelated with the social security issue which enters does
not only physically but virtually through technological environments.

On the account of, economic issues it should be analyzed the fiscal deficit which the
company is passing through specially nowadays (2022) which is a post pandemic period in
which the government is healing itself through policies of commissioning expenses, to
sacrifice as little as possible any expenses seen throughout the fiscal year, as well, the
unemployment in the country is increasing firmly reaching the 4% from a 0.28% in 2018
this seems to have no boundaries. On the other hand, political factors are creating
government restrictions which are being endured more than before due to the COVID 19
pandemic having the ARCSA just being many in the segmentation of health, food and
service, in the same page, political factors inflected directly into policies just to mentioned
tax policy which is being endured with the RIMPE for the companies which produced more
than $300.000 you must pay more taxes. Along with it, the fact of having policies for the
insurance of employees with the IESS which undoubtfully have a too slow process of
reception. Finally, the ethical approach seems to be of great importance in Ecuador
disposing of gender inequality in many jobs which now is being more regulated or the fact
of having immigrant which are creating a labor force less expensive for companies to
acquire and without insurance payment having to choose between national labor force
which is more expensive having a minimum wage ($400) and an insurance with the IESS
or on the other side an immigrant labor force without fixed minimum wage and without
requirement of insurance.

On account of the information, presented in this cash flow it is well appreciated the
movement of cash inside the company to the point of having a great liquidity in the short-
term period for any kind of loan in the short-run in order to stabilized the company in any
hassle which the company could be been through. Besides, a good cash flow proves
effectively that the company is indeed in a position of profitability and liquidity positions in
order to keep a capital cash balance in right management of the cash which consequently
could led to the right planning and coordination of the new office which through a long-
term loan the company could easily acquire just by ensuring the management of this cash
flow.

However, on account of the fact that the company is in a expansionist process where the
main priority is not to portray a new Officine but instead to find a suitable solution to the
customer service and environment in the short term in which even the cash will be use as
debt capacity to answer into the quality standards imposed by the company. Nevertheless,
as well the surveys and the CEO has agreed in the fact that a change of office should be
manage, yet according to particularly the CEO this change should nit be done in the short
run, due to the fact, both the funds and debt capacity are already in debt leverage, and it
would not be neither responsible nor ethical to employ those as debt leverage specially
when the company is changing of environment radically. For this reason, the proposal
should be taken of course, however it should be taken to be realized in the long run instead
of the short term run as it was previously proposed.
