Installation Preconditions
APU – The APU in version 2.3.2 and in subsequent 2.3.2 Service Packs generally
requires a TPU from the same Service Pack, but newer TPUs can be used as well.
TPU – It is generally recommended to upgrade all TPU parts (in MConfig called Global
tools, Application TPU, Application Portal TPU, Web TPU and Coupling Service TPU)
whenever a Service Pack is installed.
MConfig – MConfig 8.13.1 or higher is required for installation of the APU as well as the
TPU.
Technical Considerations
The following are technical considerations for Maconomy 2.3.2.
Release Notes 2
Pre-Installation Information
When performing an APU upgrade using version 2.3 GA or later of the Maconomy Server, a
PPU_Warning related to popup values might appear in the PPUDebug file as PPU_Warning.
These messages are expected during the APU upgrade process as the database is temporarily in
a state that this neither the old version nor the new version. Ignore the messages and continue
the installation. See defect 577837 for more information.
Default Database Query Timeout
The default database query timeout might interfere with Maconomy Analyzer report queries which
are expected to run for more than 5 minutes. In you are using such Analyzer reports you can
increase the database query timeout with the following setting in ‘MaconomyCustom.ini’:
[ServerConfig]
DB_Cancellation_DefaultTimeout = <timeout-in-seconds>

Translations
Maconomy 2.3.2 is delivered with the dictionaries listed in the following table. For some
languages, Standard and Solution dictionaries exist. Solution dictionaries contain industry-specific
terminology for select terms for the selected language. For example, the standard term “Job” in
US English translates into “Project” in US English MCS and into “Engagement” in US English
CPA.
Completion of the dictionaries requires a sequence of validations, hence the dictionaries are
available at different quality levels as described in the table, and as follows:
Direct Translation from Bureau means that the terms are translated up until the
specified service pack level.
Release Notes 4
Pre-Installation Information
Reviewed by Services means that additional verification of the translations has been
made by Services and the dictionaries are complete.
Validated as Enterprise Language means that Engineering has verified that a solution
can be installed with the corresponding language as an enterprise language. If this
validation has not been completed, manual corrections to the import files must be
expected during installation of a solution. For a language to become an Enterprise
Language, both Standard and Solution dictionaries must exist and be validated by
Engineering.
Updated dictionaries will be made available once released from Engineering.

Dimensions.
This error is corrected.

TPU Software Issues Resolved for 2.3.2
Coupling Server
Kerberos Single-Sign On
Defect 798705
The Coupling Service sometimes fails the Kerberos Single-Sign On (SSO) because of User
Datagram Protocol (UDP) networking issues. This is now fixed by forcing the Coupling Service to
always use Transmission Control Protocol (TCP) when performing Kerberos SSO.
Printing
Print Layouts
Defect 722678
MPL 4 print layouts that used a <paper> tag with no cursor started page numbering with zero.
This error is corrected. Page numbers on these prints now start at page one.
Server
Failed Login Count
Defect 793544
When a user is successfully authenticated through Single-Sign On (SSO), the count of failed
consecutive login attempts is not reset. As a result, a user might accumulate a failed login count
over time, resulting to the user account eventually being blocked.
This issue was solved in 2.1.6 but was reintroduced in 2.3 GA. This error is corrected.
Workspace Client
Single-Sign On
Defect 751160
Previously, there was an issue with Workspace Client single sign-on (SSO) due to the maximum
token size that was hardcoded into the client. As a result, a domain login dialog prompted the
user to enter their credentials manually rather than SSO logging them in automatically.
This error is corrected.

Defect 788503

Known Issues
Known Issues
Application
VAT incorrect on Credit Note - Credit Order
Defect: 571316 (Sev 4)
When a credit note is created from a credit, the tax is calculated with regards to the item tax code
on the item information card and not from the item tax code on credit order line. This means that if
the item tax code on the credit order line is different from the default code, then the tax on the
credit note may be wrong.
BPM
Huge digits displayed in Engagement Budget To Actuals reports
Defect: 789440 (Sev 3)
The second query of the mentioned Job Budget to Actuals report and variants seem to fetch rows
that are beyond the given date range.
Technology
Unnecessary Error Occurs During Installation
Defect 577837
When performing an APU upgrade using version 2.3.1 or later of the Maconomy Server, a
PPU_Warning related to popup values might appear in the PPUDebug file as PPU_Warning.
These messages are expected during the APU upgrade process as the database is temporarily in
a state that this neither the old version nor the new version.
The messages are may resemble:

Release Notes 15
Known Issues
Truncated Layouts
The Week Total field is inappropriately truncated. For example, the system displays “237…”
instead of “237.50,” even if there is space enough to display the full number.
As a workaround, maximize the client or alter the layout to accommodate a smaller screen.

Known Issues
Workspace Client: Encountered internal error when WS Client left idle for
too long
