An Expirience That Changed My Life

Forever

It often seems that we live a life that fits into a pattern. Every new day resembles the
previous one and there's not much that can happen to change that feeling. But once in a
while, something odd takes place and it changes you completely. In my seventeen years
I haven't had many life- changing experiences which is not surprising given that I'm still
young and in highschool. But there are a couple of things that made me change the way
I look at life and those around me and that is something I will cherish forever.

I think the biggest turning point in my life was enrolling in high school. Elementary
school was a time when I was still very, very young and I had no idea what
I wanted in life. But once I sat behind my desk and got to know my f riend
with whom I'd shere a classroom and a snack at recess, I knew was
something big ahead of me. Maybe that's not an experience others would consider big
and life-changing , but for me and those aroud me, it was huge. I got to meet amazing
people who are there for me everyday, five days a week, almost 300 days a year. I can
tell them everythig about myself , even the bad things, and I would still get
unimaginable support.

I didn't think high school would turn out to be such a big part of my life. Well, not until
last year to be exact. When we had to start online classes and when we ware stuck in
our home, unable to see each others everyday I realized just how
important my friends and teachers were. That's when it hit me even though everyday is
the same, you sill need that continuity and stability which school can give you. This is a
place where you feel safe and where you can be yourself and there's nothing I like more
than to feel that I belong. And right now I belong in a classroom, on a bench outside the
school and next to my friends while we hurry to get something to eat before the bell
rings. Starting high school has been my biggest change so far and it's something that
gives me hope that each next thing in life will be as great and wonderful as this one. Life
is full of surprises and they might happen when you least expect them to.
