According to the video that I have watched, Cooperative was made because of poverty and
crisis. During the 19th century, the cooperative movement started. In contrary from the
published article by Francesca Forno, Although, scholarly study is divided on when the
movement originated, many trace its roots back to a variety of cooperative experiences that
evolved in Britain and France in the eighteenth century, particularly in the farming industry
and consumer associations. During the years of industrial revolution, Robert Owen and
William King founded the first modern Co-operative. It is called Rochdale Equitable Pioneers
Society. The said cooperative was established because of fraud in scales or the low quality of
the products that has been sold to the people. In Germany, the first bank cooperative was
also established and led by Friedrich Wilhelm Raiffeisen and in 1901 from Quebec Canada,
Alphonse Desjardins established and Co-operative that could save the people from poverty.

2. To be effective, cooperatives, like other businesses and organizations, depend on individuals

collaborating together toward a shared purpose. Whenever directors or managers are
dismissive of the co-operative business strategy or co-operation, their choices might
jeopardize the co-capacity operatives to function. A co-downfall operative's is frequently
signaled by a mix of poor board supervision and executive arrogance.
