We use standard size 6 inch x 6 inch (15cm x 15cm) square origami paper for this site unless stated otherwise. There are many different kinds of origami paper - solid color, metallic, tie-dye, floral, geometric, stripe, foil, washi, chiyogami, etc. Sometimes the paper you use can really change the look of the finished origami. Fold the paper along one diagonal, then unfold it. Origami Swan
Now fold the lower edges of the square into the centerline as shown. This is your kite base. Flip the kite base over.

Fold the point of the piece upwards. Then fold the head of the swan
Pull the neck of the swan away from the body, and unfold the head and body.
