2. Now, the Ministry has decided to increase the Last date of submission by
30.11,2021. Further, the mode of submission of proposal witl remain same as per the
earlier letter issued i.e. att NGO witt appty via ontine, rest via offtine mode.

3. This issues with the approval of the Competent Authority.

I am directed to say that Ministry is in process to organize a series of Eye check camps for
Truck Drivers preferably before or during the upcoming Nationat Road s.-]fety rraonth, zozz e. l,liri-
tt.
January, 2022 to Mjd-February, 2022) along National Highways across the country.

2. During the ca mp, eye check'u p of the truck drivers having valid Commerc ia t Drjvine License would
be done, they witt be given the check-up report and spectactes, where necessary is per docto,,s
advice.

3. ln cases, where spectacres are glven, photographs of the aoncernecr dnver while wearing the
spectacle along with the clear picture ol DL in one hand be taken for record. Atso an undertakirg io
the enctosed format (Annexure-l) may be obtained.

4. The duration of camp in a particular ptace shoutd not be more than 7 days. white setecting thL,
place of camps (i.e, tott ptazas, wayside amenjties, dhabas/parking. town/city along nationat
highways), it shoutd be kept in mind that the gathering of vehicles does not become a hindrance for
traffic movement and large number of drivers can be attended, etc.

5. You are, therefore requested to subnrit the proposais onLine (through the Road safety Advocacy
portat of this Mjnistry). Organ izat ions / Associa tions other than NGO, may submit propoiat off_Line
