Continuous verbs

A continuous verb describes what is happening at a particular


moment in time, an action in progress.

For example: she is shouting.

1) Make up two sentences for each of the following continuous verbs.


Make sure one uses the present tense and one uses the past tense.

 Crying  Jumping
 Swimming  Flying
 Walking  Running
 Drinking  Eating
 Smiling  Throwing
 Climbing

Present tense Past tense

She is shouting She was shouting

She is drumming She was drumming

I am working at the moment He was working a moment ago
