Going Inside the System Unit of a Desktop Computer

1. Know which one is called the system unit.


2. Know about the front and the back side of a system unit.

3. Know about the motherboard.

4. Know about different parts connected with motherboard: Processor, RAM, ROM, HDD,
Fan, Heatsink, DVD drive etc.
5. Know about different types of ports and connectors: DVI, VGA, audio, RJ45, USB, IEEE
1394A (fireWire), PS/2, parallel (LPT) & serial (COM) port, PATA, SATA. (Read last
part of Chapter-2 from the book Computing Fundamentals by Faithe Wempen)
6. Know about Power Supply Unit (PSU).
7. Know how to assemble PC:
